Occupation: Teacher/mom
Summarize your current situation (family, work, hobbies, etc.): Currently, I have three classes left until I receive my Master's in Education. I'm not teaching while I'm in grad school, but I previously taught first grade. My husband Michael and I have two sons, ages 7 and 9. They are very rambunctuous - hmmm...I wonder where they got that from? Since we live on the coast of South Carolina near Charleston, we enjoy going to the beach, crabbing, and fishing together. We also love going to historical sites in the area.
Life summary for 1987-2022: My husband and I graduated from the University of South Carolina and we loved SC so much, we decided to stay. We moved back to Chico because Michael's mom was sick and lived there for five years. Both of our boys were born at Enloe hospital. But we missed SC and decided to move back. We've been here ever since.

Summarize your current situation (family, work, hobbies, etc.): I'm married to Ann Smith (Llanes) from San Antonio Texas.
I'm a US Army soldier; a Captain in command of the 565th Quartermaster Company which normally conducts warehouse operations. Right now we are executing convoy security missions in Iraq. This phase of my life is very rewarding and challenging.
Life summary for 1987-2022: After high school I spent a semester at Butte Junior College, but didn't see it through.

I Joined the Army as a Generator Mechanic. Later I became a recruiter, a platoon sergeant and went to night school at the University of Maryland for a BS in Business Administration (better late than never). I went to Officer Candidate School and continue to serve as an officer in the US Army today.
Duty locations: Georgia, Virginia, North Carolina, Texas, and Germany.
Deployments: Saudi Arabia/Iraq, Bosnia, Iraq, and Iraq.
My home is where I hang my hat. The job can be unpleasant at times, but I have more good days than bad. My wife Ann makes everything worth while. I feel truly blessed.

I won't be able to be at the reunion, but wish you all the best.

Summarize your current situation (family, work, hobbies, etc.): Livin' in Napa and lovin' it! Husband, 2 kids, house, dog and cat, your basic family parts. President of my son's nursery school, staying home with the kids and recently new slum lords in Chico. Life is good and looking foward to reconnecting with old friends!
Life summary for 1987-2022: Not too exciting, but stable, I'm too much like my father. After high school, went to college, joined a sorority (Gamma Phi Beta), had a great time, graduated Chico State in '92 with a BA in Communications-Visual Design, directed the Morris Taylor Show, went back to school to get a teaching credential. Taught my first year in Lodi, moved to Fremont to get married and teach for 3 years. Moved to Napa to have a family and raise our kids, try amazing food and wine and frolic in the beautiful Napa Valley. That's the past 20 years in a nutshell.
