Summarize your current situation (family, work, hobbies, etc.): Currently I am at home full-time with my 3 children, 9,7 and 18 months old. I home school the 2 oldest which serves as a wonderful full-time job. For the past 2 years I have coached 7th grade girls volleyball in the fall. My husband, Dak, and I are Young Life leaders here in Colusa.
Life summary for 1987-2022: After graduating from Chico State with a B.S. in Nutrition and Food Science I moved with my husband, Dak, to Colorado Springs and did a dietetic internship for a year to become a registered dietitian. Upon completion of that we moved back to Chico where I worked in community nutrition full-time and clinical nutrition part-time. After nearly 5 years of marriage we had our first child, and I quit my full-time job to stay at home. I continued to work part-time at a hospital until we moved to Colusa. Our move was prompted by my husband's teaching job as well as our involvement with Young Life. Leading YL in Colusa while living in Chico was not ideal or very effective. In 1999 we moved down here and have been here ever since. We continue to be very involved in Young Life as well as coaching.
