City: Colorado Springs State/Prov.: Colorado Occupation: Satellite System Engineer
Sr. Marital Status: Married No. of Children: 3 Summarize your current situation (family, work, hobbies, etc.): I am married to my wonderful wife Melody. She is originally from Mexico City but we fell in love and she moved to the USA in 2001. We have two boys together 4 and 2. I also have a daughter from my previous marriage who is 12 years old. Luckily my daughter gets along great with her brothers which makes it easy when my daughter comes and visits on holidays and summer break. My wife works as an interpreter for government agencies and I work for Lockheed Martin as a satellite systems engineer. We live in Colorado Springs, CO which is pretty nice and I am almost allergy free compared to when I lived in Chico. Summarize your life history for the last 20 years: I attended Butte College after high school for 2 years then transferred to California State University Chico. I attended Chico State for 1.5 years and then transferred to California State University Sacramento. I was going to be a bilingual teacher but I decided to take another path. I worked as a teacher's aide for 3 years while attending college which helped me decide I wanted to do something different. I first joined the Army National Guard when I was 17. I attended basic training during my summer break after my junior year at Chico High in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. I then spent my next summer in advanced individual training after graduation in Fort Leonard Wood Missouri to train as a Combat Engineer. I was in the California Army National Guard for 7.5 years. I got lucky and was not called up for Desert Storm during that time but I was called up for the LA riots. Instead of becoming a teacher I decided to join the regular Army as a satellite network coordinator. During my 6.5 years in the regular Army I was stationed at Fort Gordon, GA (Augusta, GA), Colorado Springs, CO, and Landstuhl Germany. I was in Germany for 3 years and visited France, Switzerland, Austria, Belgium, and Luxemburg. The German beer was the best beer I have ever had. Of course I attended Okterberfest in Munich. I got out of the Army in 2001 and moved to Las Vegas, NV because my daughter was there but I left after 3 months because the only place I could get a job was at Cheyenne Mountain in Colorado Springs, CO. I have been in Colorado Springs, CO ever since. I finally completed my degree in Information Technology 2 months ago. It took me a while but I finally completed my degree.
